244 Ø HUDORA TRAMPOLINE
Congratulations on purchasing your new HUDORA trampoline.
INTRODUCTION
Please read all of the information we have put together for you in this manual
before using the trampoline. As with any kind of physical leisure activity,
participants could be injured. Read all instructions before using the trampoline.
Warnings and instructions on the care, maintenance and use of the trampoline
are enclosed to ensure safe and pleasurable use of this product.
Keep the instruction sheet! This product is not suitable for commercial use.
WARNING NOTICES
Setting up the trampoline
•
Sufficient headroom is essential. A minimum clearance of 7.3 metres above
•
the trampoline is recommended. Remove wires, branches and other possible
hazards. Only use the trampoline on solid, level ground.
Horizontal freedom of movement is essential. Position the trampoline away
•
from walls, buildings, electric power lines, fences and play areas. Keep an
area of 2.5 metres clear around the trampoline.
Before use, set up the trampoline on a level surface.
•
Illumination may be required in shaded areas.
•
Do not set up the trampoline on concrete, hard ground (e.g. rock) or on a
•
slippery surface. We would recommend grass.
Remove all objects which could impinge on the jumper and do not place any
•
objects on the trampoline. Empty your pockets before using the trampoline.
The trampoline may blow over in high winds. If windy weather is expected,
•
the trampoline must be moved to a protected area or disassembled. Another
possibility is to lash down the round exterior (the upper frame) of the
trampoline with the aid of ropes and pegs. To ensure safety, the trampoline
must be pegged into the ground in at least three (3) places. Do not just
lash down the foot piece of the trampoline, as this may cause the frame
connections to rip apart.
Do not use indoors!
•
USE
Incorrect use or abuse of the trampoline is dangerous and can result in
•
dangerous injuries!
As elasticated pieces of equipment, trampolines make it possible for those
•
using them to reach heights they are unaccustomed to and also bring about
extreme body movements which the jumper may be unaccustomed to. Be
aware of this and only use the trampoline if you are physically fit. If in doubt,
consult your doctor first.
The trampoline owner and the competent supervisors are responsible
•
for ensuring that all users are aware of the techniques laid out in the
instructions.
Use the trampoline only when in the presence of experienced supervisors
•
with the appropriate knowledge.
Enter and leave the trampoline by climbing on and off it; it is dangerous to
•
get off the trampoline by jumping off it to the ground or to get on by jumping
on it.
To get up on it correctly, hold the frame with your hands and climb or
•
roll onto the frame, over the springs and onto the jumping mat. Always
remember to hold the frame in your hands when you are getting on or off.
Do not climb straight on to the frame cushioning and do not hold on to the
frame cushioning. To get off correctly, go to the edge of the trampoline, take
hold of the frame for support and climb down from the jumping mat to the
ground.
This trampoline is designed for a certain weight and use. The user should
•
not weigh more than 100 kg.
Please note that outdoor shoes or tennis shoes may not be worn when using
•
the trampoline. Pets should not be allowed on the jumping mat in order to
protect the jumping mat from cuts and damage. Trampolinists should either
wear socks or gym shoes when using it, or go barefoot.
When jumping, always start on the logo that is printed on the centre of the
•
jumping mat. Stop jumping immediately if you land more than approx. 30 cm
outside the logo! Begin jumping again from the centre of the trampoline, on
the logo.
Finish jumping by bending your knees when your feet come into contact with
•
the jumping mat. Learn this technique before trying out anything else.
Learn the basic jumps before trying out more advanced skills.
•
Various trampoline activities can be carried out with basic exercises, by
•
performing them in different sequences and combinations, with or without
standing jumps in between.
Avoid jumping too high. Stay low until you are well able to jump in a
•
controlled manner and to land repeatedly in the centre of the trampoline.
Controlled jumping is more important than height. Keep your eyes on the
•
trampoline. This will help you to control your jumps.
Don’t jump on to the trampoline from balconies, trees or the like. Do not use
•
the trampoline as a spring board.
Don’t jump when you are tired. Only take short turns.
•
Trampolines higher than 51 cm are not suitable for use by children under six
•
years of age.
Put the trampoline away when it is not being used.
•
Do not use the trampoline if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•
Contact a recognised trampoline instructor for information on skills training.
•
Only jump when the surface of the mat is dry. Wind or air movements
•
should be calm or light. When the wind is strong or when it is stormy, the
trampoline may not be used.
The jumping mat should never come into contact with sharp-edged or
•
pointed objects.
There shouldn’t be anyone under the trampoline.
•
Never allow several people to use the trampoline at the same time!
•
The risk of injuries such as skull, neck and leg fractures or spinal injuries are
•
increased by having several people jumping together.
Only suitable for private purposes!
•
Landing on your head or neck can cause paralysis or death!
•
Do not do somersaults. The danger of landing on your head or neck is
•
increased when doing somersaults!
Do not make any technical modifications.
•
If one of the conditions mentioned is noticed or if there are other
noticeable problems which give you the impression that there may be
danger for users, the trampoline must be disassembled or secured against
use until these circumstances have been eliminated.
