Using OS/2 Warp 4.0
The following procedure installs a retail version of OS/2 Warp 4.0 and configures
appropriate device drivers.
Requirements
♦
OS/2 Warp 4.0 Installation CD and the three installation boot disks.
♦
16 MB of RAM.
♦
Hard drive with 80-120 MB of free space.
♦
OmniBook 2000/5700 CD-ROM, a SCSI CD-ROM drive attached to the
OmniBook Docking Station, or a networked CD-ROM.
Note
If you are using a SCSI CD-ROM, copy
C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SCSI\AMSIO2.ADD to the OS/2 Disk 1. Add the
following statement to CONFIG.SYS file on the OS/2 Disk 1: BASEDEV=AMSIO2.ADD
You may have to make room on the OS/2 Disk 1. You can safely remove
AHA152X.ADD which is the driver for the ADAPTEC 1510,1520 and 1522 SCSI cards.
♦
HP OmniBook drivers for video and sound. If you will be using an OmniBook
Docking Station, you will also need the drivers for SCSI.
Location: OmniBook hard drive or Recovery CD in
\OMNIOBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2.
