Using Backup Exec
Backup Exec is a high-performance data management solution for
Windows NT networks (Backup Exec is a product of VERITAS Software
Corporation). The product provides fast, reliable backup and restore
capabilities for servers and workstations across the network.
Backup Exec is available in configurations that can accommodate
multiplatform networks of all sizes. Check your software to see which
edition you are running.
Note
When you back up with a remote server, you cannot use a tape device
local to the HP NetStorage 6000.
To back up files from the HP NetStorage 6000 using Backup Exec
Advanced Edition version 7.3 on a Windows NT server:

Open Backup Exec.

Select Tools > Options. The Options dialog box appears.

Click the Network tab, then check User Shares.

Select Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network > Domain
Name > NetStorage 6000.

Select the files or volumes you want to back up.

Select your backup options as you normally would, then start the
backup.
