Inspect the battery in the HP CodeMaster 100 for visible signs of wear.
o
Turn on the HP CodeMaster 100. If the instrument displays the
LOW
BATTERY
message, replace the battery with a charged battery.
o
Visually check the patient cables, paddles, cables, and pads adapter
cables for wear, insulation nicks, and other damage.
o
Perform the “Delivered Energy and Shock Button Functional Test” on
page 13-3.
o
Perform the “Electrode Adapter Cable Test” on page 13-4.
o
Perform the “Quick Pacer Functionality Test” on page 13-5.
o
Make sure that a battery is charging in the battery support system.
If you have the advisory option:
o
Turn the
Energy Select
control to
Advisory On
, and check that the
instrument turns on.
