When the DTC is switched on, it is configured with:
•
information that the DTC sends to the manager (such as the number of
boards)
•
user-defined settings
•
and other parameters such as the DTC IP address that you enter when you add
a new DTC to the configuration.
In most cases you can successfully configure your DTCs with information contained
in chapter 5. This will enable you to connect terminals to your DTCs. If your site
requires a more complex configuration refer to the appropriate chapter later in this
book.
The configuration procedure
Run the dtcconfig program
Add DTC Configuration
Choose DTC name
Find
DTC LAN address
DTC IP address
DTC nodename
DTC type
Connect terminal and
get DTC prompt
Configure a DTC printer
