DTC Node Name
Enter a name in three parts, each with a maximum of 16 characters, separated by
periods as illustrated in the example syntax below.
nodename.domain.organization
Each part must start with an alphabetic character and can be followed by a
combination of alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). As you
enter the name, it shifts right to extend beyond the visual line.
The DTC Node Name is a unique node name to identify a DTC within a system or
network.
For simplicity, the DTC name and the
nodename
portion of the DTC node name are
often the same name. However, they are used for separate tasks by the
DTC Manager/UX and the system.
DTC Type
Enter an X or an x in one of these four fields: DTC 16TN (also use this field for a
DTC 16MX), DTC 16, DTC 48, or DTC 72MX. All the DTCs in a list must be of
the same type.
