To replace the probe cable

Turn off the instrument power switch, then unplug the power cord. Disconnect any
input or output connections.

Remove the screws that hold the probe cable to the rear panel of the module.

Remove the faulty probe cable from the connector and install the replacement cable.

Install the label on the new probe.
If you order a new probe cable, you will need to order new labels. Probe cables shipped with
the module are labeled. Probe cables shipped separately are not labeled. Refer to chapter 7,
"Replaceable Parts," for the part numbers and ordering information.

Install the screws connecting the probe cable to the rear panel of the module.
C A U T I O N
If you over tighten the screws, the threaded inserts on the back panel might break off of the
back panel. Tighten the screws only enough to hold the cable in place.
