Hoxter fireplace inserts are equipped with high quality ceramic glass and with self-cleaning glass feature. The air which is distributed
into the fireplace insert cleans the glass from the inner side and takes away the dirt from the glass. Clean glass with no requirements for
frequent cleaning will be achieved when controlling the air control element the right way and using the seasoned wood.
To clean the glass on the fireplace insert with a turning door, just open the door and clean the glass from the inner side.
To clean a glass on the fireplace with a liftdoor, open the liftdoor blockers first afterwards open the door to the cleaning position as the
arrows point out and clean the glass from the inner side. Do not push on to the glass when cleaning and support the door with your
hand. After the glass is cleaned, close the door again and secure the liftdoor blockers again. (

5.2 Bringing Out The Ash
Hoxter fireplace inserts feature the up to date and most efficient grateless heating. This way the wood burns out to the finest ash
particles. The ash is stowed at the bottom of the burn chamber and positivly affects the consecutive burn process, It‘s not necessary
to bring out all the ash from the fireplace insert. The interval of bringing the ash out should correspond to the intensity of heating.
The continuous layer of ash cannot be higher than 2 cm below the bottom side of the door.

Clean glass with minimal need for cleaning will be reached when following the suitable wood batches
rule, using well seasoned wood and controlling the air distribution the right way. To clean the glass use
the supplied Hoxter sponge, which has been developed specially for the cleaning of ceramic glasses.
There may be a hot particles in the ash even after 24 hours after the burning process is over. Bring
the ash out from the fireplace insert only when it‘s completly cooled down! When removed from the
fireplace insert put it for 24 hours to a non flammable vessel out of the reach of flammable materials.
Never use liquid glass cleaners. When used it may cause irreversible damage of the glass,
sealing and other parts of the fireplace insert. The warranty won‘t cover such cases. To clean
a glass, use a supplied Hoxter sponge for dry cleaning. When the glass is considerably dirty
use a wet napkin with a small amount of fine ash from the burning chamber.

Leave a small layer of ash (~1 cm) at the bottom of the burn chamber. It will affect the positively the
burning process. The removed ash may be used as an ecological fertilizer in the garden.
