A possible fire in the chimney can be identified when there are visible flames and a lot of sparks on the top of the chimney and there is a
lot of smoke inside the burn chamber. In such case:
· Call firefighters.
· Close the air inlet to the burn chamber.
· Remove all flammable articles from the close proximity of the chimney.
· Don‘t try to put out the chimney fire with water. The temperature inside the chimney may reach 1 300 °C. This high temperature will
turn water into the steam immediatelly which could cause ripping the chimney apart.
· Contact the chimney sweeper to check the condition of the chimney after the chimney fire.
1.6 Air Inlet Chanel
Hoxter fireplace insert is equipped with an external air inlet. If your fireplace insert hasn‘t been connected to an external air feeding,
it‘s important to ensure that there is enough air in the space where the fireplace is installed, for example by ventilation. Don‘t use the
fireplace insert simultaneosly with another heat producing appliance or with any appliance which creates underpressure in a closed
room. The elements which control the air feeding to the fireplace insert mustn‘t be altered in any way.
1.7 Unauthorized Technical Alterations
It‘s forbidden to make any alterations to the fireplace insert. In such case the producer has no responsibility if such product is being
used and the warranty won‘t be recognized. Only the spare parts aproved by the producer of the fireplace inserts may be used.
