6.2.1 Connecting
The machine must be properly connected to a tractor before any machine move-
ments.
NOTE
Ø
Observe the permissible total weight of the tractor, the maximum lifting force,
the permissible axle loads as well as the weight distribution.
Ø
Adjust the braces on the tractor link arms so that the tractor link arms are
aligned parallel to the level ground. Align the tractor link arms at the same
distance toward the centre of the tractor and lock against lateral swinging.
Ø
Align the upper link in such a way that it is parallel to the tractor link arms or
slightly drops towards the tractor. The machine shall be in horizontal position
during use.
Ø
Check all plug-and-socket connections (hydraulic, electric and pneumatic) for
cleanliness and firm seating.
Dirty connectors will contaminate the flowing media. The connectors there-
fore become worn and this results in malfunctions and failures in the connec-
ted assembly groups.
1. Clean the towing facilities of tractor and machine and check for wear.
2. Move the tractor to the machine.
3. Secure the tractor against rolling away. Secure the control units!
4. Connect the machine to the three-point. Lock the tractor link arms against
movement sideways.
5. Move the supports from the parking position to the transport position.
Loosen the cotter pin and remove the bolt. Move the support to the transport
position, reinsert the bolt and secure the bolt with the cotter pin.
DANGER
Danger of serious accidents when repositioning the supports.
Ø
Shut down the tractor and secure it against reactivation.
Ø
Never move under the machine without suitable supports.
Ø
Do not reach into the holes when repositioning.
Ø
Never stay in the area under the support. The support may fall down and
cause serious or even fatal physical injuries.
