6.3 Folding
WARNING
Dropping or lowering machine parts may cause severe crushing in-
juries etc.!
Ø
No persons may stay under raised machine parts!
Ø
Order persons to leave the danger zone around the machine. Make sure be-
fore folding that no persons are present in the danger zone.
Ø
Comply with the accident prevention instructions.
WARNING
Risk of accident due to insufficient stability
Ø
The machine must not be in an inclined position when folding it.
Fold the machine only on a level and firm surface.
CAUTION
Damages to the machine
Ø
Before folding in clean the area around the folding joints and the associated
hydraulic cylinders.
Ø
Never unfold the outside wings (180°) before the inside wings (90°)!
6.3.1 Unfolding
1. Connect the machine to the tractor, observe the
Connecting
section.
2. Lift the machine completely.
3. Operate the
Unfolding 90°
control unit to fully unfold the middle wings.
4. Transformer 9/12/18 VF: Operate the
Unfolding 180°
control unit to fully un-
fold the lateral wings.
5. Transformer 9/12/18 VF: Lower the machine completely.
6. Open the
Field/Road
lock valve when bending. The wings lower.
6.3.2 Folding
1. Transformer 9/12/18 VF: Operate the
Folding 180°
control unit to fully fold the
lateral wings.
2. Operate the
Folding 90°
control unit to fully fold the middle wings.
3. Operate the
Bending
control unit and close the
Field/Road
lock valve.
4. Lock the tractor link arms against swinging sideways before road transport
and adjust their height so that the maximum permissible transport height is
not exceeded. Follow the
Transport position
section in this regard.
