The following applies to road travel:

the drawbar must be moved to the centre
position.
¾
road travel mode must be activated on the
terminal.
¾
the bolt must be inserted and secured on the
left side of the steering drawbar to lock the
steering mechanically.
¾
the shut-off valve must be set to road travel.
Load retaining valves and the control software
ensure safe operation of the steering.

Propshaft
The length of the propshaft must be adjusted
to the tractor; see chapter
Adjusting the propshaft
as well as the operating instructions for the
propshaft.

Danger of being injured by the propshaft

The propshaft should only be shortened in a
specialist workshop!
¾
Secure the PTO-shaft guard with chains
against rotating.
¾
Check the propshaft protection and chain
guard and replace, if necessary.
¾
Ensure sufficient overlap of the protective
features on tractor or machine and propshaft
(min. 5 cm).
¾
Keep sufficient safety distance to the prop
-
shaft during operation. Instruct persons to
leave the danger zone.
¾
Note the permissible bending of the propshaft.
¾
Do not touch any hot components on the
propshaft.
Observe also the safety notes about the prop-
shaft in the chapter “Safety”.
Propshafts as well as overload and overrunning
clutches depend on equipment and power.
These items must never be replaced by other
equipment.
Install the propshaft only with the engine stopped
and the PTO-shaft switched off.
Use only propshafts with proper protective outfit!
The propshaft locks must engage securely.
PTO-shaft/propshaft guard
No adapter whatsoever may be installed that
interferes with the function of the protective
features on PTO shaft or propshafts.
The PTO-shaft guard on the tractor side must
extend beyond the stub ends on PTO-shaft and
adapter by at least 85 mm (6/21 grooves) or
100 mm (20 grooves).
