Check piston diaphragm
¾
Always swivel the piston to be checked up-
ward to prevent the oil in the pump housing
from escaping.
1. Dismantle the piston diaphragm pump.
2. Unscrew the screws (1).
3. Remove the valve cover (2).
4. Inspect the piston diaphragm (4).
5. It must be replaced in case of damages or
leaks.
Replace piston diaphragm
¾
All piston diaphragms of the pump must al-
ways be replaced.
¾
Each piston diaphragm must be replaced for
each piston individually. Start with the next
one only after completing the assembly.
1. Release the piston diaphragm locking pin (3)
and remove the piston diaphragm together
with the retaining disc.
2. In case of a ruptured diaphragm drain the oil
fluid mix from the pump housing, collect and
properly dispose of it.
3. Flush the pump housing properly.
4. Clean the sealing surfaces.
5.
Refill the pump housing with oil (SAE 40, for
type DB 274 approx. 2.8 litres / optional type
DB 406 approx. 4.2 litres).
6. Reinsert new piston diaphragm (4) together
with the retaining disc.
7. Reinsert the piston diaphragm locking pin.
8. Assemble the valve cover (2) and screws
(1) again.
Checking and replacing the diaphragm of the
pressure accumulator
1. Dismantle the valve cover (5) of the pressure
accumulator.
2. Inspect the diaphragm (6).
3. It must be replaced in case of damages or
leaks.
4. Clean the valve cover (5) and sealing sur-
faces.
5. Insert new diaphragms (6).
6. Mount the valve cover (5) again.
