Spraying
1. Switch on the terminal.
2.
Prepare the spraying mixture as specified
by the crop protection agent manufacturer
and stir it up.
3. The intensity of the agitator can be manually
adjusted via the bypass valve during circula-
tion/spraying.
4. Unfold the spraying boom.
5. Set the working height of the spraying boom
(distance between nozzles and plants) in
dependence of the nozzles used according
to the spraying table.
6. In the terminal check the value “min. pres-
sure” and “max. pressure” for the permissible
spraying pressure range (for the installed
spraying nozzles).
7. Enter the value for “Nominal quantity” for the
required application quantity into the terminal
or check the stored value.
8. Set the ball valve on the suction side to
spray-
ing mixture container
and the ball valve on the
pressure side to
spraying
.
9. Switch on the PTO-shaft.
10. Switch on spraying via the terminal.
NOTE
Comply with the applicable country specific
regulations! Comply with regulations concern-
ing the distance to waters and adjacent areas!
Travelling to the field with the agitator
switched on:
¾
Set the ball valve on the suction side to
spray-
ing mixture container
and the ball valve on the
pressure side to
circulation/spraying
.
¾
The intensity of the agitator can be adjusted
via the bypass valve.
The required agitating power depends on the
preparations used and must be checked by the
user.
After filling the agitator may be set to maximum
intensity via the bypass valve to avoid separation
during longer transport travels! The PTO-shaft
must be activated during transport for this
purpose. Observe the permissible max. PTO
shaft speed of 540 rpm!
Before starting spraying operation you
should reset the stirring intensity you had set
for travelling, if it deviates from the stirring
intensity required for spraying!
Measures for windward drift reduction
¾
Schedule your work for early morning or even-
ing (generally less wind).
¾
Reduce the spraying pressure.
¾
Choose bigger nozzles and higher water ap-
plication quantities.
¾
Maintain the exact folding boom working
height, because the risk of windward drift will
increase considerably with increasing nozzle
distance.
¾
Reduce the travel speed (below 8 km/h).
¾
Use of so-called antidrift (AD) nozzles or injec-
tor (ID) nozzles (nozzles with a high proportion
of coarse drops).
¾
Follow the distance instructions for the cor-
responding crop protection agent.
