WARNING
Risk of injury on the hydraulic cylinders!
Limbs may be pinched by unintentional retraction of the piston rods.
Ø
The machine must be parked with the parking brake pulled when adding or
removing clips. Nobody may be about in the area of the tractor cab at this
time.
Ø
Lock control units mechanically or electrically, depending on the version.
Ø
Make sure when placing or removing clips that the control units are not oper-
ated by any other person.
Ø
Lift the seed bar completely.
Ø
If needed, plug the same number and colour of clips on all hydraulic cylinders
for the additional stroke (2).
11.10 Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment
To adjust the seed placement, set the coulter pressure as described in the Coulter
section.
In working position the piston rods of the single acting cylinders are pushed in by
the coulter pressure.
The coulter pressure adjustment must be done at a location in the field that exhibits
average soil condition.
The coulter pressure can then be increased hydraulically on difficult or hard subsec-
tions. The hydraulic pressure can be removed again from the cylinders with average
field conditions.
1. Apply pressure to the tractor control unit to activate the coulter pressure ad-
justment.
2. Switch the tractor control unit to floating position to deactivate the coulter
pressure adjustment.
