Pressure wheel scraper
3. Move the scraper as close as possible towards the pressure wheel (approx. 2
mm distance). Rotate the pressure wheel and check for free rotation during
this process. The scraper should not rub against the (clean) pressure wheel at
any point.
6.4 Packer
In the working position the machine runs on the packer. The weight of the machine
causes high compaction and a fine crumbly, level surface.
With cohesive soils the packers may pick up soil and thus become considerably
heavier. This can cause overloads and damage to components, or may dirty roads
during transportation.
NOTE
Ø
Remove any picked up soil prior to road travel and regularly during field work
from the packer.
Maintenance
1. Check the packer bearings for firm seating.
2. Check the packer shafts for free rotation.
3. Check packer segments for wear, deformation and breakage.
4. Check the tyres for damage and renew as required.
5. Check tyre pressure regularly.
