Configuring General Network Settings

This section describes how to configure your DVR’s general network settings. Your network
settings must be properly configured before you operate the DVR over a network.

To configure general network settings:

1. Go to

Menu > Settings > Network > General

2. Configure the following settings:

Apply

to save your settings.

• NIC Type

Select your network interface controller type from the list.

• Enable DHCP

DHCP is enabled by default. To disable it, clear the check box.

• IPv4/IPv6 and DNS

If DHCP is disabled, manually enter your DVR’s network settings.

• MTU(Bytes)

Select a value between

500

and

1500

. Default setting is

• Bandwidth Throttle

Select a value between

1Mbps

and

30Mbps

or select

None

• Server Port

Used for remote client software access. Default setting is

8000

• HTTP Port

Used for remote browser access. Default setting is
