Additional Pressure

1
– 10 hPa
[Additional Pressure
≤
25
hPa – IPAP]
• • •
To safeguard the minimum volume,
the IPAP is increased to the set addi-
tional pressure in gradual steps of
max. 2 hPA per breath. The additional
pressure value is a maximum value. To
calculate the additional pressure actu-
ally required, the minimum volume
is measured in relation to the actual
volume and the necessary inspiration
pressure is calculated from the cur-
rent inspiration pressure. On the one
hand, the pressure increase is limited
by the set additional pressure as a
maximum value, and on the other
by a max. 2 hPa pressure increase
per breath compared to the inspira-
tion pressure of the previous breath.
Upper Pressure Limit
4 – 25 hPa
• •
Up to this value, the IPAP or CPAP
pressure can increase automatically.
Low Pressure Limit
4 – 20 hPa
• •
Up to this value, the EPAP or CPAP
pressure can decrease automatically.
Pressure increase
Level 1 – 5
• •
The pressure increase determines the
speed of continuous additional pres-
sure in case an obstructive apnoea/
hypopnea/ snoring is detected.
Sens. Obstr. Detection
Low, Medium, High
• •
During apneas, the TREND III deter-
mines a value via the FOT measure-
ment (Forced Oscillation Technique).
If this value is above the value that
can be set with this parameter, the
apnea is considered obstructive.
1 only for TREND III AutoBILEVEL ST devices
