Chapter 5: Therapy Modes
T mode
Main features

•
Spontaneous breathing possible when trigger function enabled
In this therapy mode, therapy is controlled exclusively by the device when the trigger
function is disabled. Spontaneous breathing on the patient’s part is not possible. The
ventilation period is based on the set frequency and a defined I:E ratio.
Please note:
During the exhalation phase, no negative pressure (vacuum) is generated.

If the trigger function is enabled, the patient can trigger the next inspiration by spon-
taneous breathing efforts during the expiration phase, which increases the frequency.
