2.1.

Removing/installing the battery

The charger is not protected against moisture (IP40).

-> Do not charge the battery in a humid environment, e.g. rain.

The battery can be charged by plugging in the charger as follows:

1. in the installed state on the vehicle via the charging socket (on the head tube)

2. by plugging the charger into the removed battery.

You can interrupt charging at any time by disconnecting the charger. The

charger switches off automatically when the battery is fully charged.
With dual batteries (only XD3), the two batteries installed on the bike may

only be charged with one charger.

→ Remove the external PowerPack and charge it separately, if you want to

charge the two batteries in parallel.

Always switch the battery/e-bike system off when inserting the battery or

removing it from the frame.

Removal:

•

Turn the key in the battery lock clockwise.

The battery is thus unlocked and sits into the

retaining device.

•

Press the clip of the retaining device with your

finger. The battery is now freely removable.

XD3 only: When removing the battery, always hold one hand under the

upper part of the battery to prevent the battery from falling out.

Installation:

•

Place the bottom of the PowerTube battery with the contacts in the bottom

bracket on the frame.

•

Turn the key in the battery lock clockwise to open the lock and hold the key

twisted.

•

Press the battery upwards until it clicks into place.

•

Check that the battery is firmly in place and remove key before riding.
