Your vehicle

We are pleased that your choice fell on a HNF-NICOLAI eBike. You have chosen a

high-quality vehicle and we are convinced that you will enjoy your eBike for many

years to come.

1.1. Intended use

The HNF-NICOLAI UD3/XD3 is designed to carry one person on asphalted roads,

paved and unpaved roads.

The maximum load on the UD3/XD3 is 125 kg. The luggage rack on the XD3/UD3 can

carry 25 kg.

Example: You are going on a long bike tour with 15 kg of luggage on the

carrier. Then you should weigh a maximum of 110 kg with clothes.

The vehicles are not designed for the following:

•

Race/competition use

•

Jumps

•

Cleaning with a jet of water

•

Transport on the outside of a car in the rain without covering the motor and

removing the battery and display

•

Charging the vehicle outdoors in wet conditions

An electric bicycle accelerates faster than a bicycle and achieves a higher

speed.

-> First practice handling your new HNF-NICOLAI in a traffic-reduced area,

before you use it on the road.

-> Practice handling the brakes. See also section 4.4. "Brake system".
Rotating parts, such as wheels, sprockets or pedals, can pull in items of

clothing and items carried along. Example: your scarf or a bag attached to

the handlebar could get caught in the spokes while riding. If you slip off the

pedals, your foot could get tangled in the spokes. This can cause serious

accidents!

-> Always wear tight-fitting clothing.

-> Do not attach any objects to the handlebar that could swing into the

front wheel.
