Following Conditions are Normal
Sounds and Vibrations
Symptoms
Cause (This is normal)
When using humidify or skin moisturize
modes, the purifi er sometimes makes whir-
ring and gargling sounds
It is the sound of the unit pumping water from the water tank for a
few seconds every few minutes.
The unit makes rattling sounds when it is
being moved
It is the sound of the metal ball inside the “Vibration Sensor”.
The flap makes whirring, rattling, and rumbling
noises when it is opened, closed, or in swing mode
It is the sound of the motor that moves the fl ap.
The unit vibrates when it is on “Max” airfl ow rate.
It is because of the rotation of the fan.
The airflow rate frequently switches in the
middle of humidify mode and the sound is
distracting
It is because the airflow rate is controlled automatically. When
the humidity changes, the airfl ow rate may switch to “High”.
If it becomes a distraction, switch to your preferred airfl ow rate.
(P.E-21)
The humidifying performance will decrease when it is switched
to a weaker airfl ow rate.
When switching the operation mode or air-
flow rate, the purifier sometimes makes
whirring and whirling sounds
This is the sound of the unit changing the rotational speed of the
motor.
During Auto Self Clean operation, the puri-
fier sometimes makes whirring and rattling
sounds
This is the sound of the motor operating the auto self clean unit.
Sound of the Auto Self Clean operation is
loud in a quiet environment, for example at
night.
Adjust the time to start the Auto Self Clean operation.
(P.E-26)
