1. Check latches. They should move freely and fall back against the body of the slingbar.
2. Make sure the plastic cover is not worn. If so, replace the slingbar.
3. The SlingBar Cover has to be assembled. 
4. Remove slingbar centerbolt and bearing, wipe of any dirty, dust or residue. Re-assemble in reverse order.
