This shares the removable drive and makes it available for use. 

 

This is useful if you have 'Safely Removed" the drive and need to use the drive without physically 
removing and inserting the drive.

Disk Identification

 

 

Disk ID

 

 

Unique ID assigned to each disk when they are formatted. 

 

Alt ID

 

 

Unique ID assigned to the disk by the system. This ID is generated by system using the disk's 
vendor, model number, serial number, and bus connection. A given disk may get a different 'Alt 
ID' if it is connected to a different bus (e.g. eSATA vs. USB3). 

 

Name

 

 

User defined disk name.

Safely  Remove

 

This will flush all cached writes to the disk and disconnect it from the device so it is safe to remove 
without data loss.
