Section 4 - Operating the Rockpicker
Close Panel, Lower and Lock the Reel Cage

Connect Breakaway Chain to the Tractor

Disengage the Parking Brake

7. Close the reel lockout access panel.
- Ensure the lock (2) at the front of the
panel is engaged.
8. Lower and lock the reel cage.
- Ensure the cage locks (1) are
engaged.
9. Disengage the parking brake actuator
located on the left rear upright.
- Rotate the handle (1) to loosen the
brake cables.
10. Check that the rockpicker brake line
(1) is connected to the tractor.
Accumulators contain high
pressure hydraulic fluid which
may cause serious injury.
11. Check that the emergency break away
chain (2) is connected to the tractor.
- This chain will activate the
rockpicker brakes if the rockpicker
should become disconnected from
the tractor.
- Ensure there is enough chain
slack to allow turning the machine
without activating the break away
system.
