Column assembly
1.
Lubricate the column with Wurth high pressure dry lube

Insert cross beam into columns, two people are best for this process as the nylon blocks on the
cross beam are best inserted at the same rate.
Lay down columns and slide the cross beam down each column at an equal rate.
External latch only
Hold open safety latches while lowering
Internal lock only
Lower the cross beam to the bottom of the columns then install the locking ladder. The
locking ladder will slot into the crossbeam nylon sliders (as shown below). The nylon slider
will be inside the column at the base of the column at this stage. The pictures below show
where the locking ladder is inserted (left) and what the ladder and latches look like once in
place and on lowest safety lock position. The nylon slide will be inside the column when the
ladder is inserted.

Once cross beam is on lowest safety lock raise columns together and position in desired
location. Two people are best for this process.
4.
After positioning the posts, the safety lock release mechanism should be at the outside of the
beam.
