AMP/EFF (Pre-Amplifier / Multi-Effects)
This Edit Menu allows you to adjust the parameters for the Pre-Amplifier and Multi-Effects. “Pre-Amplifier” includes the
Overdrive parameters.

❷
TUBE - DRIVE
This allows you to control the Drive amount (non-linear distortion) of the Tube Preamp.
NOTE: This parameter is disabled when the Tube Routing
❶
is set at “BYPASS.”
u
MATCHING TRANSFORMER
❸
TRANS - DRIVE
This allows you to set the saturation level of the Matching Transformer.
The setting range is “0” -”127.” A higher value will result in more saturation at low volume
levels.
❹
TRANS - HYSTERESIS
This allows you to set the strength of the hysteresis characteristics.
The setting range is “0” - “127”, The higher the value, the more “asymmetrical” the sound.
❺❻❼❽
TRANS - DEPTH; UPPER, PERCUSSION, LOWER, PEDAL
This allows you to set the amount of the MT modeling for each Manual.
The setting range is “0” - “127,” The higher the value, the deeper the effect.
u
OVERDRIVE
❾
OVERDRIVE - SWITCH
This allows you to turn the Overdrive effect “ON” or “OFF.”
❿
OVERDRIVE - DRIVE
This allows you to adjust the overall amount of Overdrive. The higher the value, the more
distortion will be heard. It is linked with the [OVERDRIVE AMOUNT] Rotary Knob on
the top panel.

TRANSFORMER MODELING
The purpose of the Matching Transformer in
a Hammond tone-wheel organ is to “match”
the low Impedance of the generator and key
circuits to the high impedance amplifier input.
It combines the individual tones from each
Drawbar into one complex musical tone.
Doing this imparts some unique character-
istics to the sound (se the diagrams below),
which are part of the tonal characteristics of a
Hammond tone-wheel organ such as the B-3.
