HA<O> XK-5 Owner’s Playing Guide
1. Make the connections as shown in the diagram at
left.
2. Go into the MIDI Edit Menu and select the “Basic”
MIDI Template.
3. Start playback of the sequencer/DAW.
NOTE: Using MIDI cables requires different hookups
for recording and playback if you are using the XK-5
with a Lower Manual and with Pedals. This is due to
the limited number of MIDI ports on the XK-5.
1. Make the connections as shown in the diagram
at left.
2. Go into the MIDI Edit Menu and select the
“Basic” MIDI Template (or the “2or3 KBD Tem-
plate if you are using a Lower Manual and/or Pedal
Clavier).
3. Set the MIDI channels of the sequencer / DAW.
NOTE: If you play only the Upper, MIDI Channel 1
will record. If play on Upper, Lower and Pedals,
MIDI Channels 1, 2 and 3 will record.
4. Start recording of the sequencer/DAW.
5. Send the memory dump if necessary.
6. Start your performance.
