76 - Burst Pipe

Set Up and Configure

1. Position winch unit outside of bursting pit with winch bumper approximately 4-6 in (100-150 mm) inside

the edge of bursting pit or

manhole.

2. Lower manual stabilizer/manual trailer jack if equipped and disconnect from towing vehicle.

3. Lower rear stabilizers in the desired location

1. Tooling head
2. Wire cable

3. Winch

NOTICE:

Follow U.S. Department of Labor regulations on excavating and trenching (Part 1926, Subpart

P) and other similar regulations.

NOTICE:

If stabilizers are lowered on unstable ground, place steel road plate under stabilizers.

Crushing weight could cause death or serious

injury. Use proper procedures and equipment or stay away.

To help avoid injury:

Ensure no personnel are in the pit as equipment is lowered.
