CLEANING & DISINFECTION: BY MACHINE (RECOMMENDED)
Only perfectly maintained, checked, calibrated and released cleaning and disinfection equipment
according to EN ISO 15883 with a valid check mark (CE mark) may be used. During machine
cleaning and disinfection of multiple different products/individual components, make sure that
the cleaning device is not overfilled and that the products/individual components do not come
into contact with each other. We recommend completing the cleaning and disinfection cycle ac-
cording to the device manufacturer’s and the cleaning agent and/or disinfectant manufacturer’s
specifications. Make sure that the cleaning agent is compatible with the products and any disin-
fectants that are used. The pH of the cleaning agent and disinfectant should lie between 5.5 and
8.5. Do not use organic solvents (e.g. alcohols, ethers, ketones, benzines), oxidizing agents (e.g.
peroxides), halogens (chlorine, iodine, bromine) or aromatic/halogen hydrocarbons. Use with the
following agents is recommended: - Dr. Weigert, neodisher MA/- Dr. Weigert, neodisher Z. The
usage instructions of the device manufacturer and the manufacturer of the cleaning agent and
disinfectant must be strictly observed. In particular, concentrations and contact times must be
observed.
Description of the recommended cleaning process:
Pre-cleaning: The pre-cleaning
should be completed in a water bath (at least drinking water quality) without other cleaning addi-
tives using a cleaning brush below the water surface to achieve sufficient cleaning of the products/
individual components while avoiding protein fixation and also to protect the environment from
contamination with splash water. The duration should be based on the level of contamination of
the product/individual component; it should not however be less than 1 minute.
Cleaning tools for pre-cleaning: Flexbrush cleaning brush, REF 605 254
Information about the cleaning and disinfection device: Type: Miele G7881
Description of the recommended cleaning and disinfection:
Cleaning program: VarioTD
Cleaning temperature: 50,1 - 56,1 °C
Hold time: 09:55 min
Disinfection temperature: 65 - 94.4 °C
Hold time: 09:55 min
Rinsing technique: Fresh water system/demineralized water
Cleaning agent: Dr. Weigert, neodisher MA, dosing: 30 g (3 g/L)
Neutralizer: Dr. Weigert, neodisher Z, dosing: 1 - 2 ml/L
The water should be of drinking water quality. Rinsing and drying should be completed by machine.
Machine cleaning should not exceed a temperature of
60 °C
. It must be ensured that visual contami-
nation has been completely removed. If there is still visible contamination after the cleaning and dis-
infection process, the cleaning & disinfection must be repeated. Before further processing, the prod-
uct must be free from any residues and dry.
CLEANING: MANUAL
Manual cleaning should be completed in a water bath (at least drinking water quality) with the
cleaning agent specified below using a brush below the water surface to achieve sufficient cleaning
of the products/individual components while avoiding protein fixation and also to protect the en-
vironment from contamination with splash water. The duration should be based on the level of
contamination of the product/individual component; it should not however be less than 1 minute.
Afterwards, rinse the products/individual components with water (at least drinking water qual-
ity) for at least 20 seconds.
Description of the recommended cleaning process:
Pre-cleaning: Remove surface contamination using a disposable cloth
Cleaning: Insert the instrument into the strainer bowl. Suspend the strainer bowl in the cleaning
