Reset
Windsor has a number of reset options for each individual area and the system. To view or
modify the reset options select option 5 from page 2 of the edit menus followed by the system
or area number.

The managed reset option works in conjunction with engineer reset. When an engineer reset is
required Windsor will display a randomly generated code

. The user must quote this number
to the alarm company who will give the user the corresponding reset PIN code. This should be
entered like a normal PIN code but is only valid for one reset. If Windsor accepts the code the
message “Reset OK” will be displayed for a few seconds but the user will not be logged on. A
successful managed reset will be logged in the event log.

The seed code will be used by the panel to generate a 6 digit code which will be displayed to
the user when a reset is required. This code must be quoted to the central station to obtain the
corresponding 6 digit managed reset PIN code. The programmed managed reset seed must
match the seed code used by the central station.

TX Reset
If auto reset is programmed then at the end of the programmed sounder duration Windsor will
normally only reset the circuit TX output if the circuit is clear. Normal is the default TX reset
option.

This code is generated using the programmed managed reset seed. If you intend to use this feature
the central station must be equipped with the Guardall managed reset PC package.
