Steps

1. Display average processing menu

Press the

“Measure” button to pop up the measurement menu; and then click the “AVG

Setting

” soft key in the menu to display the dialog box shown in Figure 6-24.

2. Configure parameters for averaging function

Finish the following configuration in the menu shown in Figure 6-24.

Enable the averaging function.

②

Select the average type.

③

If the average type is the Exp (exponential average), the attenuation constant is set;

if the average type is Lin (moving average), the average number is set.

6.7 Synchronous Measurement

The alone, master or slave mode can be selected in the synchronous measurement.

The alone mode is selected for a single instrument. When two instruments are

connected together, the synchronous master/slave measurement can be performed.

Figure 6-25 shows the synchronous measurement menu.

Only one instrument should be set as master and one instrument is set as salve. The

external trigger output of master is connected to the external trigger input of salve via

the BNC cable. The master issues the measurement starting signal and the slave

receives the signal, so that the synchronous measurement of two instruments is

achieved.



The slave starts measuring while the master starts measuring.



The slave stops measuring while the master stops measuring.
