PA5000 Series Power Analyzer Start Guide
Figure 6-8: Set synchronous source
Note: The U or I signal of the input element that does not connected to the power analyzer will not
appear in the synchronous source signal list.
If the synchronization source is set improperly, the measured value may be unstable or
erroneous. It is recommended to select the input signal with small distortion and stable
frequency as the synchronization source.
(2) Notes
Default synchronous source
Note that the U1 is used as the default synchronous source of power analyzer;
therefore, if the synchronous source is not specified and the input element 1 works
properly, the U1 is used as the synchronous source.
If the synchronous signal is distorted
If the synchronous source signal is distorted or there is high-frequency noise
overlapped, it may cause a signal that is different from the signals within fundamental
frequency range to be measured. If this is the case, please turn on the frequency filter.
If the signal level of synchronous source is too low
If the signal level of synchronous source is below the zero-cross detection level, the
detection cannot be performed correctly. This may cause the measured value to be
unstable, or a timeout may occur.
6.3.2
Set data update rate
Users should set the data update rate based on specific measurement requirement.
The data update rate can be increased to obtain faster load changes in the power
electric system; and the data update rate can be decreased to obtain the sampling data
in several cycles of the longer signal.
(1) Update rate display menu
Press the
“Update Rate” button on the front panel and the update rate configuration
display menu shown in Figure 6-9 will pop up.
