TYPE3
Type3 calculation formula:
Active power of 3P4W:
PΣ = P1 + P2 + P3.
Apparent power of 3P4W:
SΣ = PΣ

Reactive power of 3P4W:
QΣ = Q1 + Q2 + Q3.
(2) Set corrected power
The corrected power (Pc) measurement is a measurement function in the normal
measurement mode. When the load connected to the transformer is very small, the
active power of the transformer under test needs to be compensated. In this case, the
compensation formula and the coefficient should be set.
The standard and coefficient should be selected before setting the corrected power.
The
selectable
standards
include
IEC76-1(1976),
IEEE
C57.12.90-1993,
IEC76-1(1993), and the P1 and P2 coefficient can be set in the range of
0.0001~9.9999.
2. Steps
(1) Display formula dialog box
Press the
“Measure” button on the front panel to display the measurement menu; and
then click the formula button in the menu to pop up the formula dialog box.
(2) Set the calculation formula for apparent power and reactive power
Select the calculation formula of S and Q in the pop-up dialog box, as shown in Figure
6-16.
Figure 6-16: Calculation formula of S and Q
(3) Set the calculation formula of S
The apparent power S is the product of U and I. Users can specify the measurement
type of U and I, which are selected from RMS, MEAN, RMEAN and DC, as shown in
Figure 6-17.
