5.4.2.1.8.1 Triggers
Select the events that will trigger the recording. There are a number of events to choose from,
for a full list and explanation of them
see 5.5.1.2.1 Triggers
. It is possible to select more than
one event to trigger the recording. This recording configuration will also be displayed as an
event in the Events summary table;
Events > Alarm Rules
.
5.4.2.1.9 Pre – Record
Set the amount of time prior to the event occurring (maximum 10 seconds) that you want to pre-
record to capture the lead-up to the event. This is particularly useful for events triggered by
motion.
5.4.2.1.10 Record Duration
Set the total amount of time you want to record an event for after the trigger (not including pre-
record).
5.4.2.1.11 Save
Click Save Profile to save your configuration.
After this defined period of time, the recording will automatically stop even if the event is still
occurring. The SD card status on the top menu bar will reflect the recording state.
5.4.2.2 Editing a configuration
To edit a Recording Configuration via the Camera Web Interface, go to
Recording >
Recording Configuration
. From the table select
Edit
next to the configuration that requires
editing.
Make the changes required and save them.
Recording type cannot be changed. To switch between recording types, create two
configurations, one of each type and enable one at a time.
