Figure 215 WDR Image Setting
5.3.2.10.1 WDR Level
The WDR level controls the degree of emphasis given to shading of brighter areas. For scenes
with bright areas that feature important detail, a low WDR setting may be used to enhance the
shading in those areas, increasing the difference between different shades and exposing more
bright detail. For scenes that do not feature bright areas or where the bright areas are
unimportant (e.g. clouds), a higher WDR setting will improve the contrast of the scene, giving
more shading detail to less bright areas. A setting of 0 is the same as the Wide Dynamic Range
being turned off.
This control has no effect on exposure, so if the scene is over- or under-exposed, the
Exposure Compensation or TrueDetail HDR features should be used to address this, but
the WDR control may be used in conjunction with those if also required.
Range is -100 to +100. Default is 0.
5.3.2.11 Camera Mount Position
This control lets any Oncam-enabled dewarping systems know in which orientation the camera
is installed, so the dewarping systems can make sure the VCam images stay the right way up
and move naturally. The setting can be overridden by settings in the dewarping systems but
configuring them correctly in each camera means the dewarping systems can just be left in their
default settings
.
