Finding the Physical Location of a Panel
c. ES-LAN/Serial Device #:
Each panel connected to an AccuSwitch controller must be given a
unique number.
• Enter a number from 1 to 64 for a LAN only system.
• Enter a number from 1 to 16 for a Serial only system.
The “Device #” is referred to as the “Device ID” on the panel itself
and the “Address” on the Jupiter MPK Devices table. See
Section 4-Jupiter System Configuration .
d. ES-LAN Primary Host IP: enter the IP address of the Control
module associated with this panel.

ES-LAN Secondary Host IP: enter the IP address of the redundant
Control module (if any).

Select “Save New Settings.”
This will apply the settings and reboot the panel. You should see some
type of status response from the router
4. Go to the next panel and repeat the steps above.
Note For initial installations, the Jupiter/AccuSwitch control system must be con-
figured in order for the Control module to communicate with the panel.

Finding the Physical Location of a Panel
NetConfig can be used to send an “identify device” signal to a particular
panel, causing the panel to display a flashing red and yellow checkerboard
pattern.
1. Use Device View and go to Router > Jupiter > Panels.
2. Expand the panel type name and right click on the name of the panel of
interest.
3. Select “Identify Device” from the pop-up menu.
The panel will flash the checkerboard pattern for the number of seconds set
in the Options menu.
