Bundle and label wires of the same type (e.g. audio line cables) to each other; do not bundle
with other wires (like loudspeaker cables), only horizontal/vertical crossing of wires of different
types is allowed:
Type of cabling used:
• Audio – shielded microphone cable
• Error contact closures – 2*0.1mm2 min. (per contact)
• Emergency panel – shielded CAT5e/6 & fire retardant
• Unit link – shielded CAT5e/6 (& fire retardant if connected to remote located unit)
• Speaker cable internal – 2*2,5mm2 (max.)
• Speaker cable external – 2*2,5mm2 fire retardant*
• ECU 48 VDC input – 2*2,5 mm2 max. (2*1.0 mm2 min.)
• PA8125 48 VDC input – 2*16 mm2 max. (2*4.0 mm2 min.)
• PA8250 48 VDC input – 2*16 mm2 max. (2*8.0 mm2 min.)
• Battery cable – see C48 manual for more information
NOTE:
check local requirements for Fire retardant cable ratings!
NOTE:
in case external disturbing signals are present, these can affect the speaker line monitoring
due to interference of the pilot tone signal, which can result in error messages! In such situations
shielded cabling is required. In case that does not help, because the level of the disturbing
source is too high, action must be taken to reduce the level of the disturbing signal amplitude;
to (temporary) avoid error messages on this line one can turn off the speaker line measurement.
