Option 2:
1 backup amplifier channel for 8 or 12 alarm zones
Within the same ECU unit, a single backup amplifier channel can also be used as a backup for
8 or 12 zones
This option requires specific wiring of the backup amplifier output to the right backup amplifier
inputs on the 4x4 cards. When connected in the right way the ECU unit will autimatically detect
the number of connected backup amplfiers during a calibration run. It is not possible to link a
backup amplifier channel from one ECU unit to another.
When 2 backup amplifier channels are used for all 12 zones: the 1
st
backup amplifier must be used
to backup zone 1 – 8 (connect the backup amp output to backup amp in 1 & 2 of the ECU) and
the 2
nd
backup amplifier must be used to backup zone 9 – 12 (connect the backup amp output to
backup amp input 3 of the ECU).
