TEG Main Parts
1)
Place the jumper in V
set
position between terminals 3 and 4 of TB-1.
2)
Connect a volt meter to terminals 2(+) and 4(-)
3)
Open the circuit by quickly removing the jumper from the terminal block. Record the
voltage within 2 seconds. It will increase quickly and should be approximately 13 volts.
Immediately replace the jumper.
4)
If the momentary open circuit voltage is below 12 volts, then the TEG is operating cold
and the fuel system and burner should be thoroughly checked and/or adjusted. If the
momentary open circuit voltage appears reasonable, but V
set
remains below 6.7 volts,
then the power unit is damaged and will need to be replaced.
WARNING: Do not let the open circuit voltage exceed 13 .5 Volts
