15. Replace the screened cap.

16. Reconnect the following components:
- Shielded cap
- H.V. coil supply connector
- ECU interface wiring:

17. With the engine idle, measure the induced
voltage produced by the H.V. coil primary. In this
case, use the digital multimeter and the peak vol-
tages adaptor.
1 - 12 = 300V (peak)
Minimum allowable voltage ³ 200V (peak)
Standard voltage at start-up= about 350V
(peak)

USE THE ADAPTER WITH THE POSITIVE PROD ON PIN 12.
IF THE ENGINE DOES NOT START, CHECK THE INDUCED
VOLTAGE AT THE START-UP

18. The system is efficient, check timing.
19. If the detected voltage is much lower than the minimum allowable, check the core dwelling time
reported in the «parameters» function of the diagnostic tester
