Periodic Offline Condition
If an offline symbol periodically flashes on the pump screen for one or more fueling positions,
try the following steps until the problem is resolved.

• Check for possible bad CAT Board (refer to

• Ensure that a ferrite kit is installed and the Dispenser Hub is not located in an area prone to
Radio Frequency Interference.

If this problem occurs, ensure that electrical connections at the Passport system and the CPC
D-Box are correct.
If the site has variable speed STPs, check PSB 28-98 for information about symptoms of STP
communication problems and troubleshooting techniques.
Card Stuck in CRIND
If this error is generated, it means that the CAT electronics detected a card in the card reader.
Try the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Note: These steps are not in sequential order.
• Check and ensure that a card is not present in the CAT card reader.
• Attempt to clear the Card Stuck message by performing another card swipe or using a card
reader cleaning kit.
• If present, ensure “Invert Card Signal” is not set in CAT BIOS programming.
• Warmstart the affected CAT electronics.
• Reset the NGCRIND application for that position.
If the steps above do not resolve the problem, then the CAT Control Board inside the Wayne
dispenser could be defective.
Outside Debit Offline
If this error is generated, this means that the POS has lost communication with the Wayne
DSM. Try the following steps until the problem is resolved.
• Ensure that a DSM is actually in use. If no DSM is in use, disable this feature for the
affected fueling position.
• Cycle power to the DSM.
• Verify proper wiring from the DSM to the D-Box.
• Restart the Dispenser Hub.
If the steps above do not resolve the problem, then the DSM could be defective.
