Avoid to use the unit in the presence of steam containing oil, conductive or corrosive substan-

ces.  Also humidity condensation on the membrane must be avoided, as it modifies acoustic re-
sponse, causes corrosion and contributes to the formation of residues difficult to remove.  

When  HD WME  weather protection is connected and sound level meter turned ON, power 

supply and preamplifier heating avoid condensation of humidity on the microphone membrane. 
When the sound level meter is OFF, heating of the preamplifier is disabled and it’s therefore possi-
ble that condensation is formed on the microphone.  We advise to put the HD WME unit in a 
dry environment when not in use.
