Most treadmill and ergometer protocols consist of three pre-defined
phases

Recovery
. Each phase can include multiple
stages, which define the parameters of the test. The parameters differ
slightly depending on the device, as seen in the following table.
Protocols for Master’s Step devices consist of only
Stage
and
Stage Time
.
You can modify the pre-defined protocols to create custom protocols. Use
the following instructions to create a custom protocol.
