8.7 Clean the control panels

Remove power from the laminator before
cleaning. You can be severely shocked,
electrocuted or cause a fire.
a) Use a terry cloth towel to wipe the control panels.

Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners on the
laminator. Do not spill liquid of any kind on
the laminator. You can be severely shocked,
electrocuted or cause a fire. Use only a damp
cloth for cleaning unless other wise
specified.
8.8 Chain tensioning
If the motor should stall, stutter or if the chain
makes a popping/ snapping sound, check the chain for
proper tensioning. When the chain is properly tensioned,
you should see approximately 1/4 inch ( 0.64 cm ) of
slack on each side of the longest stretch of the chain.

Tools required

• 5/32 allen wrench
·
• 3/8 inch wrench or 6 inch adjustable
·
• 1-1/8 inch wrench or socket
·
• 13 mm wrench or socket
• 10 inch adjustable wrench
• Pry bar or large screw driver
Tensioning of the primary ( inner ) chain
a) Open the drive side cabinet with the 5/32 allen
wrench.
