HAZARD AVOIDANCE
Sector Scan:
1)
While in horizontal scan mode, select the
BRG
Softkey to display the Bearing Line and place the cursor in the
BEARING field. If the Bearing Line is not displayed, press the
MENU
Key and turn the large
FMS
Knob to select
Show Bearing Line.
2)
Press the
ENT
Key.

Turn the small
FMS
Knob to place the Bearing Line in the desired position. The location of the Bearing Line
becomes the center point of the Sector Scan.
4)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to place the cursor in the SECTOR SCAN field.
5)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to select FULL, 60˚, 40˚, or 20˚ scan.
6)
If desired, readjust the Bearing Line as discussed previously to change the center of the Sector Scan.
7)
Select the
BRG
Softkey again to remove the Bearing Line and cursor. The bearing reference is also reset to 0º.
