Special driving environment
As limited by physical laws, ACC has a certain
system limitation. In some driving environments,
the driver may control the car after sensing the
reaction of ACC or may fail to control the car as
expected, so he must always be ready to control
the car.
The following conditions affect functions of the
radar system sensor and camera sensor, so the
driver must be particularly alert under these
conditions:
1. Decelerating to stop. If the vehicle in front is
stopped by using the brake, ACC will also
decelerate the car until the alarm exits, and
the driver can actively intervene in the brake
as needed to stop the car completely.
2. Driving through a curve. During driving
through a curve, the radar sensor or camera
sensor may fail to capture the vehicle in front
in this lane, or may react to vehicles in
adjacent lanes. In this case, ACC may not
respond to the vehicle in front, or may brake
the car to reduce the car speed. ACC can be
exited by depressing the brake pedal or
manually deactivating ACC.
3. Driving out of a curve. During driving out of a
long curve, because ACC will calculate the
lane in advance, the radar sensor may react
to vehicles in adjacent lanes and brake the
car. This braking process can be interrupted
by depressing the accelerator pedal.
