NOTE
•
If the brake pedal is not depressed,
pressing the EPB button can not release
the EPB, and the instrument cluster display
will show an alarm message, with a beep
alarm.
•
When releasing the EPB, operating noise
can be heard, which is normal.
•
When the car battery is low, the system
cannot release the EPB. If conditions
permit, you can connect a jumper cable for
emergency start
=>see page 276
, and then
release the EPB. Contact the GAC Motor
authorized shop for inspection.
•
If the EPB has not been used for a long
time, the system will automatically test it,
and the operating noise can be heard.
Apply dynamic emergency brake
–
If the service brake fails while the car is
running, you can try to continuously raise the
EPB button for emergency braking. Release
the EPB button or depress the accelerator
pedal, the system will exit emergency braking.
NOTE
In the following cases, operate the EPB again. If
the fault has not been eliminated, please
contact the GAC Motor authorized shop for
inspection.
•
If the indicator lamp
flashes red
continuously, it indicates that the EPB is
partially engaged/disengaged or the system
is malfunctioning.
•
If the indicator lamp
lights red when
EPB is not applied, it indicates that the
system is abnormal.
•
If the indicator lamp
lights yellow, it
indicates that a fault has been detected in
the electronic system and the EPB has
been degraded.
