P: Parking position
– When the car is completely stationary and a
position other than “P” position is engaged,
press the “P” position button to engage the
“P” position.
In the following two working conditions, the Shift
by Wire will automatically engage the “P” position.
– When a position other than “P” position is
engaged, the engine start/stop button is
switched from “ON” to “OFF” or from “OFF” to
“ON”, and the car speed is less than or equal
to 3km/h, the “P” position will be engaged
automatically.
– When the driver seat belt is not fa the
driver door is open + the brake is not applied,
and the car speed is less than or equal to
3km/h, the “P” position will be engaged
automatically.
NOTE
When the shift system fails and the “P” position
can not be disengaged, please contact the GAC
Motor authorized shop for repair.
R: Reverse position
– With the car completely stationary and the
“P”, “D”, or “S” position (in the “S” position,
you need to set the gearshift lever to the first
stable state to perform the following
operations) engaged, depress the brake
pedal and push the gearshift lever up to the
F2 position to engage the “R” position.
– When the car is completely stationary and the
“N” position is engaged, depress the brake
pedal and push the gearshift lever up to the
F1 or F2 position to engage the “R” position.
N: Neutral position
– When the “P” position is engaged, depress
the brake pedal and push the gearshift lever
up to the F1 position to engage the “N”
position.
– When the “D” or “S” position (in the “S”
position, you need to set the gearshift lever to
the first stable state to perform the following
operation) is engaged, push the gearshift
lever up to the F1 position to engage the “N”
position.
– When the “R” position is engaged, pull the
gearshift lever down to the B1 position to
engage the “N” position.
WARNING
• Do not allow the car to coast in neutral,
otherwise it will easily cause an accident.
• In the first stable-state position, it is not
allowed to engage any position when the
car is not parked steady, which is easily to
cause damage to the car or accidents.
