 The telephone functions

D5 / FC5 Series 

Switching the microphone off and on (Mute on / off) 

 

You make a call 

 

Switching off the microphone: 

Give key [1] a 

long

 keystroke. 

 appears 

in the display. The party you have called (or who has called you) cannot hear 
you. 

 

Switching on the microphone once more:

 Give key [1] a 

long

 keystroke. 

You can proceed with the telephone call, the party can hear you once more. 

The 

 icon disappears. 

NOTE

At the end of the call, the loudspeaker is switched off and the micro-
phone switched on again. 

TIP

If you place your handset in the charger during a call, the hands-free 
mode is switched on, if this behaviour has been activated in the Menu 
> Settings) > Device settings > Device behaviour > Behaviour in 
charger.
